The FlashBot Max is the delivery robot for buildings where the trip is the hard part. This video follows one run from the loading point to a guest room door, and the moments that matter are the ones where a person would normally have to help: the elevator call, the ride between floors, the automatic door, the turnstile. The robot talks to each of them through the building's systems and moves on.
Watch the compartment when it arrives. The delivery is sealed until the recipient opens it with a code, a phone, or an NFC tap, which is what makes it suitable for room service, medication runs, and internal mail as well as parcels. Compartments come in two, three, or four bay layouts in the same body, so one robot can carry several deliveries on one trip.
The footage also shows it outdoors briefly. VSLAM+ navigation handles semi outdoor routes between buildings on a campus or a resort, and the 70 centimeter body fits almost every corridor and doorway a building already has.
